Recommended Reading

Take a look at these good reads from some of my favorite books on the issues I regularly encounter in my practice. These are the ones I often recommend to those who see me in therapy. They offer helpful ways to negotiate relationships, personality issues, addiction, depression, and ADHD.

Try The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work: A Practical Guide from the Country’s Foremost Relationship Expert by John Gottman Ph.D., and Nan Silver. This book is at the top of my list because it’s an easy read and gives partners helpful approaches for resolving conflict.

Have a problem saying “no”? Social Psychologist Susan Newman offers 250 ways to do it in The Book of No: 250 Ways to Say It — And Mean It and Stop People-pleasing Forever. Get answers from many perspectives by experts, at your own pace, on your own time.
